Book Description
Have you ever wondered why Republicans often lose despite having the best ideas? After reading this novel, you will have understood the most fundamental difference between Democrat and Republican tactics, and what Democrats know that Republicans don't....

Democrats are at war with Republicans!

This book captures the essence of modern-day political campaigning at the grassroots level, and clearly illustrates the Machiavellian victory-at-any-price, ends-justify-the-means tactics employed by the party of Edward Kennedy, Robert Byrd, Nancy Pelosi, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton and Al Gore.

Presenting a fictional description of a campaign for the California State Assembly in the San Diego suburbs, the book tells a bittersweet tale with interesting subplots, some sprinkled with humor and others with sadness. The book is sprinkled throughout with examples of how Democrats wage their war on both Republicans and on America's moral foundations.

Synopsis
The theme of this novel is the virtue of persistence, regardless of the stakes or odds involved. It is demonstrated through a man's unwavering drive toward victory both in taking on City Hall and in, unsuspectingly, opposing the United States president's will in the State Assembly election.

The plot revolves around entrepreneur and political activist John Miller, who first engages City Councilman Rocco Sarducci in local politics and prevails. Miller and Sarducci become top campaign aids in the State-Assembly campaigns. Miller counters Sarducci's Machiavellian cynicism with confidence and optimism that rallies a group of dedicated volunteers. Sarducci's blunders---some of which are very amusing---undermine an extremely well financed effort by rich Democrat candidate Jean Carr.

Miller helps pull under-financed Republican candidate Tiffany Windsor-O'Reilly up from a spoiled rich girl mindset to a principled candidate. However, the rigors and disappointments of the campaign take their toll on Tiffany, who sinks back into her original state, promoting an adoring but incompetent volunteer, Eve McAdder, to the highest position on her campaign staff. Miller combines his talents with those of several other persistent and talented volunteers to bring Tiffany to the brink of victory even though she has long since given up any hope of winning.

But, Tiffany has a chance of winning only if sense and rationality take a back seat to bruised Democrat egos. If her opponent's aids come to their senses, they will discover that only a comical house of cards built up by their pettiness stands between them and an easy victory. Tiffany---and the reader---must wait until Election Day to find out who wins.
