Thank you for visiting Polynesia Outpost. This site has been designed to provide you, the collector, with a place to shop for some of those hard-to-find items. In many cases, we offer individual stamps instead of forcing you to buy either a large group of stamps or a complete set. We do offer some items for sale on Ebay, but we realize that it is difficult to buy and sell the lower value items. Here you can pick and choose only the stamps you need and want.


SEARCHING FOR ITEMS:

Our database is configured to help you easily find the stamps you are looking for. All stamps are listed consistently with a Scott Catalog number, year of issue, description and condition using the following formats:

Scott catalog number or numbers (45, B191, B25-B26, C57-C58, etc.) Year of issue is listed by the first year the stamp or stamps were issued. For example, 1875-1877 will be listed as 1875. Note: If a stamp has a different issue year within a set, it will be listed as such. Words for descriptions will usually be in English unless specifying a proper name. Searches are not limited to title descriptions and will search the entire database. Conditions will be listed as either USED, MVLH, MLH, MNG or MNH. Further details on condition are explained in the main item description.

SELECTING ITEMS:

Once you have found an item that you are looking for, click on one of the item buttons in the view item column. This will take you to the item display page. A high resolution image as well as a detailed description will appear. To buy the item, click on the Add to Cart button. A message box will appear to inform you that the item has been added to your cart. You may now go back to the search page and continue shopping for other items.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your cookies must be activated in order to use the shopping cart.


VIEWING YOUR SHOPPING CART:

At any time you may view your shopping cart by clicking on the VIEW CART button at the top of the page. Items will be listed with the catalog number, description and selling price. A running subtotal displays total cost. You can change the number of items you wish to purchase in the cart. However, note that we may have only one set of a particular set of stamps, so we may be able to supply only one. If we have more than one, we will ship as many as we have. There are options to select the country you live in and whether or not you reside in the state of California. Wait until you are done shopping to make the selections.


PURCHASING ITEMS AT CHECKOUT:

Once you have finished shopping, you can click the VIEW CART button. If you are satisfied with the contents of your cart, select the country in which you live and indicate whether or not you reside in the state of California. Click on the Buy Items button and fill out the form. The shipping cost and sales tax (for California residents) are listed in a table at the top of the page. The grand total will appear in the final row and will include all costs.

Verify all of the information before you click the Submit button. Once you click the Submit button, your order will be transmitted and you will receive a confirmation e-mail immediately. We will contact you within 24 hours to confirm availability of the stamps you have ordered. If you have opted to pay via PayPal, we will instruct you how to complete the transaction. We will ship your order within 24 hours of payment.
