Jackson Wright, desperate to find a way to reconnect with his dead wife, has
discovered a faint signal that emanates from the brain at death -- a Final
Transmission. With the help of friend Dr. Christopher Merritt, Wright works to
secretly record this transmission in the midst of conflict with those
determined to shut him down.
Suspicious of Wright's true motives, Head of Neurology, Dr. Everett T.
Bradford attempts to uncover the truth behind Wright's research. With
his co-conspirator, Nurse Gayle Hardcourt, Bradford plagues him at every
turn.
Yet Wright's worst enemy dwells within his own mind. He is plagued by
constant nightmares warning him to cease the experiments. Is it his own
subconscious simply playing tricks on him, or is there something more
sinister involved?
With Bradford and Hardcourt closing in, each experiment brings him one
step closer to recording the final transmission and getting him expelled
from the Emergency Room. Will he succeed in achieving his goal before
Dr. Bradford uncovers the truth? Will he ever manage to make contact
with his wife?
