The attacks on Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin by liberals and even a few "conservatives" are truly remarkable, particularly those from women.

Sarah's critics challenge her experience, despite the fact that she is just one of 50 people who is governor of a state - half the number who are United States Senators. And, as a governor with 24,400 employees, she's obviously a very effective executive. After all, she has earned an 80% favorable rating from Alaska's residents. Her critics seem to be oblivious to the fact that, of the four people running for the EXECUTIVE office of president/vice president, Sarah is the only candidate with executive experience.

Sarah's critics say she should be postponing her career so she can raise her children. They don't seem to mind that her "gotcha" interviewer, Katie Couric, didn't put her career on hold to raise her children when her husband died. Nor do they impose the same standard for Barack Obama who also has young children.

I am amused with the irony that Sarah Palin's critics are apparently calling for conservative women to be barefoot and pregnant!

It doesn't seem to have dawned on Sarah's critics that her husband might just carry more of the responsibility of raising the Palin children. Attention liberal women! Husbands do that nowadays, especially since many couples need two incomes to pay the steep price tag that liberal spend-happy government has burdened us with.

These objections are red herrings, of course. Liberalism can only thrive if there are victims to defend. A woman who is successful and extremely self-confident, which Sarah most certainly is, has long since moved beyond the victimhood that liberal women cling to. Her very existence threatens the presumed liberal constituency of women who indeed want to have careers of their own. It would be a mortal wound to liberalism if more women come to realize that liberalism is a useless crutch.

Get over it liberal ladies. Sarah rocks. Just ask the 14 million viewers who tuned in to Saturday Night Live to see her!
